The costs associated with using our previous supplier were high, so when we moved to Daisy, financial savings were our first priority. As a result of switching supplier, we have been able to save 95% on our telephone bills alone.
Audrey Jones, Finance Manager at Rosslyn Chapel
Rosslyn Chapel is a 15th century chapel located in the village of Roslin in Scotland. It was founded in 1446 as a place of worship and services are still held weekly to this day. The chapel, which featured heavily in both the book and film adaptation of The Da Vinci Code, is a popular destination and attracts visitors from all over the world.
The Earl of Rosslyn is a Trustee of registered charity, the Rosslyn Chapel Trust which was established in 1995 to care for the Chapel and oversee its conservation and public access.
Before working with Daisy, Rosslyn Chapel’s telecoms consisted of a small number of services which were provided by another supplier. It was only when the old supplier outsourced some of the telecoms to Daisy, that it became clear the Chapel had been overcharged on their phone calls to the tune of approximately £190 per month. Once aware of this, the Chapel’s primary aim was to reduce its bills with a supplier who could provide better quality services and support.
Rosslyn Chapel was impressed with how the issues with their previous supplier were dealt with and decided that Daisy’s professionalism and duty of care was more aligned to the organisation’s requirements.
After switching to Daisy, it was proposed that Rosslyn Chapel could benefit from a number of the company’s other services, including its hosted telephony solution CloudSelect TM Voice, which uses the internet rather than a phone line to make calls. This was packaged with a call bundle inclusive of 1,000 minutes for high quality, cost-effective telephone calls; broadband for improved connectivity; and public facing WiFi to meet the demands of its 21st century visitors.
As a result of working with Daisy, Rosslyn Chapel has benefited from cost savings and improved visitor communication and satisfaction.
Audrey Jones, Finance Manager at Rosslyn Chapel, said: “The costs associated with using our previous supplier were high, so when we moved to Daisy, financial savings were our first priority. As a result of switching supplier, we have been able to save 95% on our telephone bills alone.”
“The new phone system and broadband connection have enabled us to run our website and shop more effectively, and the voicemail facility has been a real advantage as it means we can chase up any missed calls we receive.”
“The WiFi has been particularly well received by our visitors. I think free WiFi is now seen as more of an expectation than a luxury, and as some visitors spend a full day with us. I think it’s vital that we can provide them with free internet to access our website and timetable of events and share images and their experiences on social media. In August, our busiest month of the year, we can receive up to 1,000 visitors a day so it is vital that we have a WiFi solution that can cope with the demand.”
Commenting on the Daisy relationship, Audrey added: “From the very beginning Daisy’s service has been second to none. Everyone is really helpful and I have found the MyAccount online billing account very useful for keeping on top of our bills and seeing exactly what we are paying for.”
