First foldable smartphone nearing prototype phase

Curved and even partially flexible mobile devices have already been available commercially for the past few years, but the dawn of the age of truly flexible smartphone tech has yet to break. This could all change later in 2017 after industry sources revealed that South Korean manufacturer, Samsung, is soon set to create a working prototype of a fully foldable handset, according to Tech Radar.

British trial of 5G networking announced by Samsung

Tech giant Samsung has recently confirmed that it will be launching a UK test of the 5G technology that it is developing – the first time that next-gen networking will be trialled on British soil. However, unlike the other 5G trials planned for the near future, in this instance it is being presented as an entrant in the on-premises broadband market rather than a purely mobile experience, according to Tech Radar.
