Anti terror group claims responsibility for attack on BBC websites

On New Year’s Eve, a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack was levelled against a number of the BBC’s online services, including its main UK website, leaving users without access to them for a protracted period. And now a group of hackers claiming to be working in opposition to Islamic State (IS) operations has claimed responsibility for the digital assault.
